I would definitely recommend! First time ever that we've used a kennel. Very flexible based on the 'needs' of our two toy poodles (mother and son), and provided us with all the information on all the options and upgrades available. Staff was very patient and very professional with answering all the questions I had as a first time customer.
I've known Connie for a very long time and feel very lucky to have a kennel I can trust and take my dogs (kids) to for day camp or boarding. The location is very convenient for us and it's so nice to have well socialized and worn out pups at the end of the day. The obedience classes are invaluable also!
I have been using Connie Winters' Pet Resort for the last five years for our beagle, Hunter. I judge the care he is getting by the way he acts when I take him and pick him up from the resort. He seems happy and well cared for. Your employees are all very nice and seem to treat him well which is important to me.
Always very kind and professional. I bring my dog here for any grooming needs. Would highly recommend them to anyone!
My cat needed groomed. They did a fantastic job. He got the lion cut and looks better and healthier than ever. Also a great price. Definitely recommend.
Suffice it to say, when leaving them for boarding, grooming, or holiday events, my dogs trot off with their attendant never looking back. They love it there. The grooming facet is excellent for my dogs. What I want is always pre- discussed and the results are exactly what I ordered at a reasonable price.
Doggie Day Camp
I work 10 minutes from a Dog Kennel. But I will drive 130 miles round trip to take my "best friends" to Connie Winters Pet Resort sometimes 1 to 3 days a week. THAT is how much I love it! and trust them to love my dogs like I do. Both Kaiah and Bailey get excited as soon as I turn onto Airport Rd, and then when I turn on to the drive for Connie's... they get so excited. They immediately don't even remember who their "Mama" is. Thank you Connie and Staff... I appreciate you so much, all of you!!!
The only kennel I trust with my dogs. My dog, Kash always comes home tired and happy from Doggie Day Camp.
Obedience Training Classes
This is an awesome place. Connie and her staff are so friendly and helpful. I have a sheltie that has a fear of meeting new people. I took him to the Puppy Star Class for six weeks. By the end of class he had made much improvement. He now goes to doggie day camp (try to get him there once a week but with the weather its been less than) they have worked wonders with him. He’s playing with other dogs and getting a little friendlier. I am so happy with the results. I was at my wits end and didn’t know what to do. I called Connie Winters and then enrolled him. Shelties are known for being timid and shyness but I was determined to try to have him more socialized like my other sheltie. In my opinion it's the only place to take your dog for classes, any behavior problems or just for play.
We are reaping the benefits every day of Tobie's new handle of simple commands. We enjoyed very much the puppy curriculum, and thought that the lessons were perfectly guided to a beginner puppy’s needs... One of the best parts of the class was being able to have Tobie interact with other dogs and owners and having to use the commands we learned to negate unfavorable behavior. They were sort of in-class "real life scenarios" that we got to react to... We also very much enjoyed the "pass the pup" circle at the end of the first class.... And 6 classes was just enough. There were enough weekly classes that no individual lesson felt rushed yet a month and a half weekly schedule was not too long to commit to.
I really liked going to class too because everyone there was kind and anxious to learn and all the owners and puppies were so friendly. We really had a great time watching the other puppies improve their skills too. It was reassuring to see that other pet owners were having some of the same challenges getting their puppy to listen or perform the commands. I would definitely recommend your class to anyone who asks, especially if they intend to live with a pup that is very active (and big) like Max. Bill and I can't thank you enough......living with Max is getting better every day (well, almost) he's still very much a very big and strong puppy 😉
